ODOT/MCTD will no longer be required to have liability insurance on for carriers who conduct interstate operations. Any inquiry for such carriers will be directed to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Licensing and Insurance web site. Carriers conducting interstate operations , except for-hire carriers transporting exempt commodities and private carriers, are required to have insurance on with that federal agency.
For those carriers who operate exclusively intrastate (Oregon only), this inquiry will provide the current insurance information on with ODOT. This application is meant to be used by insurance companies and their agents to verify motor carriers' names, addresses and current insurance filing status.

When entering the search criteria, it may be helpful to use only part of a name. When entering a name fragment you will generally receive more records from your search. Conversely, you may want to use the first and last name, and include a city qualifier when searching for a motor carrier with a very common name.
